Dominic Brennan, Msc, MA, RCC

Originally from the UK I am a mental health and career counsellor, career coach, group facilitator and trainer with 37 years life experience in Asia, Europe and North America.

I have held positions ranging from intern to senior executive roles in a Fortune 500 company.

Areas of practice include: anxiety, depression, anger management, relationships including couples, communication issues, developmental traumas due to life stresses and events, career and work issues, transitions, men’s issues, cross-cultural issues and managerial and executive development.

I adopt a person-centred approach to establish trust in the therapeutic relationship and use techniques from future oriented solution focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, Gestalt therapy, emotion focused therapy for couples, and problem solving. I can assist in tailor making individual smart goals.

Having lived on three different continents of the world helps me understand people with diversified cultures, different gender backgrounds and struggles we all face individually, in relationships, in careers, and in transitions.

I have a Master of Arts in clinical counselling from the US, a Master of Science in a business discipline from the UK and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the Canadian British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

I support my clients out of an office in Vancouver West at Dragonstone Counselling, in Surrey with Moving Forward Family Services and in North Vancouver. My online practice has a global reach taking time zones into consideration.
