Dominic Brennan, Msc, MA, RCC

Originally from the UK I am a mental health counsellor for adults, adolescents, couples, and for career and men’s issues. I am also a CBT group facilitator and trainer with 37 years life experience in Asia, Europe and North America. I practice in three locations, North Vancouver at Central Lonsdale near Highway 1, Vancouver West in Kitsilano and in central Surrey. I also offer on line counselling.

During my career I have held positions ranging from intern to senior executive roles in a Fortune 500 company.

Areas of practice include: anxiety, addictions, anger, couples, depression, communication issues, relationships, traumas due to life stresses and events, career and work issues, transitions, men’s issues, cross-cultural issues and managerial and executive development.

I work with a person-centered approach to establish trust in the therapeutic relationship. I use techniques from solution focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, Gestalt therapy, and for couples a blend of cognitive behavior couple therapy and emotion focused therapy. I can assist and have a passion in tailor making problem solving techniques and smart goals.

Having lived on three different continents of the world helps me understand people with diversified cultures, different gender backgrounds and struggles we all face individually, in relationships, in careers, and in transitions.

I have a Master of Arts in clinical counselling from the US, a Master of Science in a business discipline from the UK and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the Canadian British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
