Dominic Brennan, Msc, MA, R.C.C, MBBRS
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor, retired senior executive and father of two grown up children. Born in UK, I have worked across Europe, Asia and North America in the past 38 years. I progressed up to a senior executive role in a Fortune 500 company before I decided to have my second career as a Mental Health Counsellor. My extensive career and life experiences, and two masters level education on clinical counselling and business management, allow me to counsel adults and couples, and mentor and coach executives on their career paths with or without emotional stress, or provide leadership or strategic counselling for company CEOs or senior executives, with or without parenting, marriage or relationship issues.
From a mental health prospective, I provide individual and couples counselling, however I specialize on men’s issues, or with females who require career counselling, or wish to understand and improve their relationship with their partners. I cover from anger, addiction, anxiety, OCD, depression, PTSD, procrastination and all kinds of fears. As a member of the British Brainworking Research Society (BBRS) I also specialize on working with people who suffer from traumas or PTSD and are experiencing different mental health symptoms.
My approach is mostly influenced by person-centered theory, as I believe unconditional regards for clients will help lay a solid foundation for the therapeutic relationship. That is key for effective counselling. I use techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and Goal setting to tailor counselling plans for different clients. My couple counselling is a blend of CBT Couple Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
Isabella (S. P.) Jiang
Counsellor, MA, RCC, BBRS
I am a British Columbia Registered Clinical Counsellor, and a member of British Brain Research Society. I provide individual and couple counselling for adults from the age of 18 to seniors for anxiety, depression, anger issues and traumas in English and Mandarin Chinese.
My practice focus is with clients suffering from life and/or career transition, or relational issues either with parents, partners or children, or clients who find it hard either to start a relationship or maintain a relationship. In addition, I provide pre-marital counselling for young couples to help them preparing their new life with less stress and anxiety. I also work extensively with Chinese-speaking international students, who need help either on emotional stress, social anxiety, academic pressure, and/or life coaching.
Due to my own highly mobile life experience of living and working in Europe, Asia and North America in the past two decades, raising up two cross-racial children with my husband, I am culturally sensitive towards third culture clients, who struggle to make sense of their experiences and adapt in the new environments.
I believe – the client is not the problem, but the problem is the problem – narrative therapy approach from a multi-cultural perspective, while I borrow techniques from other modalities including, but not restricted to Gestalt, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness therapy for intervention and coping skills. Equipped with (BWRT) Brainwork Recursive Therapy, I provide brief therapy for clients with traumas.
